Since I was a child, growing up in San Salvador, in El Salvador, Central America, I had special gift working with color. When it was time to choose a career I decided to get into design. I Studied Artesian Design at Dr. Jose Matias Delgado University, School of Applied Arts in San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America. Two years of the discipline are spent on design basics. Later I had to decide which of the three design career paths I would choose. I chose Artesian Design. We learned to design and work with different materials: ceramic, iron, fabric, wood, willow, jewelry design, and much more. I enjoy working directly with my clients to make their unique headpieces exactly as they want them. Because each piece is custom-designed and made to my clients' specifications, I am sorry I can offer no price list on this site. My studio is located in my home in Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland. I want to take a moment to thank my husband, Antonio, for all the support and patience he gives me. On a final note, the name “Duette” comes from my twin daughters, who inspired me to start designing headpieces in the first place!
